How do you get paid on OnlyFans? Fans pay the platform, OnlyFans keeps 20% and credits the rest to your account as pending earnings. After 7 days for most creators, that money moves to your current balance. Once the balance clears the minimum for your payout method, you withdraw it by hand or let an automatic schedule send it to your bank or e-wallet, usually within 3-5 business days.
Everything below follows OnlyFans' own Terms of Service and the Payments section of its help center, as we checked them on 3 October 2026. Where the money comes from in the first place is covered in our guide on how to make money on OnlyFans, and adding your bank details at sign-up is part of creating an OnlyFans account.
OnlyFans payouts in numbers:
- Your share: 80% of each fan payment, after the 20% OnlyFans fee
- Pending period: 7 days, or 21 days in a small number of countries
- Minimum withdrawal: $20 for most payout methods
- Transfer time: 3-5 business days after the request, in some cases up to 10
- Currency: all earnings are transacted in USD
How do you get paid on OnlyFans, step by step
Every fan payment passes through the same five stages before it reaches you. The OnlyFans Terms of Service describe the first two; the help center describes the rest.
- A fan pays for a subscription, a paid message, a tip or a stream. A payment provider approved by OnlyFans processes the charge.
- OnlyFans deducts its fee of 20% from that payment. The remaining 80% is your creator earnings.
- The earnings sit in your pending balance for 7 days, or 21 days in a small number of countries.
- After that period they move to your current balance, which is the money you can actually withdraw.
- You request a withdrawal, or an automatic payout fires, and the payment provider sends the money to your payout method.
Your Statements page lists earnings and payout requests next to the current and the pending balance. Refunds and chargebacks appear there as adjustments; if something looks wrong, start there.
Which payout methods OnlyFans offers
The OnlyFans payment methods open to you depend on where you live, and the platform does not publish one global list. So the first answer to "how do you get paid on OnlyFans?" is your country. The help article How do I get paid my earnings on OnlyFans? says exactly that and adds that each method has its own options. You see your own list in the payout settings of your account.
The Terms name two kinds of method (direct bank transfer and e-wallets) and contain a detail most payout guides skip. For payout options other than direct bank transfer, OnlyFans says it does not store the data you register with the payment provider. Bank transfer is left out of that statement, which is worth a thought if you care where your banking details live.
| What you want to know | What OnlyFans states | Where you check it |
|---|---|---|
| Which methods exist for you | Depends on where you live | Payout settings in your account |
| Minimum withdrawal | Depends on the method; $20 for most methods | Statements page, per method |
| Manual payouts | "Request withdrawal" button, if your method allows it | Payout Requests page |
| Automatic payouts | Monthly, weekly or daily (where available) | Payout settings |
| Currency | Fan payments and creator earnings are transacted in USD | Terms of Service, creator payouts |
| Online lists of specific e-wallets and fees come from third parties and age quickly; your own payout settings are the source that counts. |
The minimum payout and what counts toward it
Only your current balance counts toward the minimum, never the pending one. The Terms make withdrawals depend on the account balance meeting the minimum payout amount, which the help center puts at $20 for most methods.
The same rule applies to automatic payouts: one only goes out when your current balance is above the minimum. A new account with a few sales a week can therefore show earnings on the Statements page and still receive nothing on a weekly or daily schedule.
Pending balance: the 7-day and the 21-day rule
OnlyFans holds new earnings for 7 days before you can withdraw them. The help article on how long it takes to get paid your earnings defines the pending balance as what you earned during the last 7 days. For most creators, those earnings then move to the current balance.
The exception affects creators in a small number of countries with a high level of reversed transactions. Their earnings stay pending for 21 days. Four months after their first earned transaction, payouts switch to a 7-day rolling basis. OnlyFans does not name the countries, so if your first payouts arrive late, check how long your pending balance holds.
A refund or a successful chargeback shows up as an adjustment on your Statements page, and the Terms allow OnlyFans to deduct your share of the reversed amount. Why the 20% fee and these reversals leave you less than the headline price is the subject of our article on the OnlyFans percentage cut.
Manual withdrawal or automatic payouts
You can pull money out yourself or let OnlyFans send it on a schedule, as long as your payout method supports the option. Which of the two you see depends on the method.
| Manual withdrawal | Automatic payouts | |
|---|---|---|
| How it starts | You click "Request withdrawal" on the Payout Requests page | A schedule you set runs on its own |
| Frequency | Whenever you choose | Monthly, weekly, or daily where available |
| Condition | Your method allows on-demand payouts | Current balance above the minimum when the schedule runs |
| Suits | Timing payouts around bills or bank fees | A steady rhythm without logging in |
| Watch out for | Forgetting to withdraw and leaving money on the platform | Many small transfers if your bank charges per incoming payment |
If your bank charges a fee for every incoming international payment, a few larger payouts usually cost less than many small ones.
OnlyFans payout time, day by day
Asked in days, the answer to "how do you get paid on OnlyFans?" is 10 to 14 days after the purchase for a creator on the 7-day rule who withdraws as soon as possible, and up to three weeks in slow cases. That range follows from 7 days pending plus 3-5 business days for the transfer, in some cases up to 10. Weekends and bank holidays add to it, as does a monthly schedule.
| Example: a fan pays $100 on a Monday | When |
|---|---|
| Fan payment, $100 charged | Day 0 (Monday) |
| Your earnings after the 20% fee: $80, pending | Day 0 (Monday) |
| Earnings move to your current balance | Day 7 (the next Monday) |
| You request a withdrawal the same day | Day 7 (Monday) |
| Expected arrival, 3-5 business days | Day 10 (Thursday) to day 14 (Monday) |
| Latest normal arrival, 10 business days | Day 21 (Monday) |
| On the 21-day rule, earnings only become withdrawable | Day 21 (Monday) |
The help center says payout requests are processed immediately; the waiting after that sits with the payment provider and your bank. In your first month, plan as if money earned in the last week does not exist yet.
Which currency OnlyFans pays out in
OnlyFans pays out in US dollars. The Terms state that fan payments and creator earnings are transacted in USD, and the help center adds that your current balance is the exact USD amount sent to your payment method. Your bank or e-wallet may charge conversion or receiving fees on the way, which OnlyFans says it does not control. If your account runs in another currency, compare the amount that leaves OnlyFans with the amount that lands for your first few payouts.
Why a payout is delayed, held or reversed
Most delays sit with the payment provider, and OnlyFans asks you to wait until a payout has been listed as processed for more than 10 days before you chase it. A few situations in the Terms let OnlyFans hold earnings on purpose, and those work differently. If a payout went missing and "how do you get paid on OnlyFans?" has become an urgent question, work through the table from the top.
| What happens | What OnlyFans says | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Payout listed as processed, money not arrived | The payment provider causes the delay | After more than 10 days, email payments@onlyfans.com with a bank statement; for bank wires outside the US, add the Destination Trace ID from your bank |
| Payouts suspended or rejected | There is an issue with your account | Email support@onlyfans.com |
| Balance lower than expected | Refunds and chargebacks appear as adjustments | Check the Statements page for adjustment lines |
| Earnings held during a review | Possible on suspected serious breaches or fraud | Dispute a forfeiture under the Complaints Policy within six months of being notified |
| Tax non-compliance | Payouts may be restricted | Fix the tax issue with an advisor |
| Lien or levy on your earnings | Earnings may be withheld until it is removed | Resolve it with the creditor or a lawyer |
The first row follows the help article Why is my payment delayed?. Keep your bank statements for every payout, because OnlyFans asks for them when it traces a missing transfer.
The help center also states that third-party payment systems outside OnlyFans are not allowed, and that directing fans to pay you elsewhere risks deactivation of the account.
Payouts and taxes
OnlyFans does not describe taking income tax off your payouts. The Terms make creators responsible for their own tax affairs and have them confirm that they report all OnlyFans payments to the tax authority where they live. What that means country by country is in our guide to OnlyFans taxes. This is general information, not legal or tax advice; ask a tax advisor in your country what to set aside from each payout.
Who should control the payout settings
The OnlyFans payout method should always be in your name and under your login. The Terms require the creator to add the bank account or payment method and to select the payout option. Whoever can change the payout method controls where your money goes.
This matters most when someone helps you run the account. OnlyFans' help center says it does not work with or endorse any agencies or managers, and asks creators to contact support@onlyfans.com if someone else controls their account details or earnings. In a clean arrangement the payout lands in your account, and any agency share is settled against figures you can check on your own Statements page. If an agency asks to change the payout method or route money through its own account, stop and ask why.
How MAXMO handles payouts
At MAXMO Management, the answer to "how do you get paid on OnlyFans?" stays the same when we work with you: the money goes to your account. Payout details stay exclusively with the creator, as do her profile email and her two-step authentication. She grants access to the account herself, in the way she chooses, and everything you share with us is treated confidentially from the first conversation; the confidentiality agreement is signed with the contract. We invoice our share on the amount that actually reaches your account, so you pay on what arrives, not on what fans spent.
Every month you get a statement with all numbers visible, which you can hold against your own Statements page. Our five service areas describe what we take over, and the results of three of our creators show what that looked like in practice. Our focus is creators whose page is already running, and in individual cases we also support the start; shorter answers are on our homepage. If you want a second opinion on your setup, tell us where you stand and we reply within 48 hours.
